First and foremost intended for professional riders, the Ekoï Road C12 Proteam shoe combines a very high level of performance with essential comfort given the intensive use. It is the result of over three years of research and development in close collaboration with professional cyclists close to EKOÏ . The shoe is a very sensitive product for a professional rider, and it has to be as close to perfection as possible. To achieve this goal, this new flagship in the EKOÏ racing range draws on three strengths:

Full real carbon sole and exclusive Ekoï geometry for maximum power transfer

In order to meet the very high power transfer requirements of professional racers, Ekoï's R&D department has designed and developed a brand-new sole for the Road C12 Proteam that is unique in terms of its composition in exclusive carbon and its shape.

On the material side, the sole is made entirely of braided carbon (Ekoï's full real Carbon concept). Result: a radical stiffness/lightness combo, demanded by pro cyclists. In terms of geometry, our engineers have worked on the inner arch of the shoe to reinforce foot support and maximize explosiveness. For optimum watt transfer, Ekoï has developed a system of wedge graduations for precise, repeatable adjustment. For the same amount of power, a cyclist well "wedged" with Ekoï Road C12 proteam shoes will make the difference.

Ekoï's exclusive wrap-around construction: absolute support and comfort

To meet the first point of the pros' specifications, namely a high-performance shoe that's also comfortable to wear, our engineers have created an exclusive architecture. This adopts a highly enveloping profile that eliminates all pressure points and provides a "slipper" effect. The BOA® Fit System with Dual-Dial Li2 and its performance fit wrap concept completes the envelopment of the foot, which is maintained without any discomfort or pain. The runner can then deploy all his strength comfortably.

The shoe's volume has also been designed with this in mind: the shoe is very close to the foot while offering sufficient space in the front for long distances and warm conditions. This uncompromising comfort/maintenance helps optimize performance. A durable material, leather contributes to the shoe's comfort thanks to its natural suppleness and breathability.

Designed for heavy-duty running, the Ekoï Road C12 proteam features an Ortholite® insole. Thanks to its open-cell X40 foam, it creates a fresh, dry and healthy environment for the feet. Its density and rebound performance guarantee maximum shock absorption over time, without compromising push-off performance. The 100% racing profile of this model is complemented by Michelin® heel pads for anti-slip durability and forefoot protection.

BOA® micrometric tightening and micrometric loosening: for tailor-made tension at all times

When racing, runners need to vary their tightening depending on whether they're climbing, sprinting or descending. That's why Ekoï has chosen the BOA Fit System with Dual-Dial Li2. This allows multidirectional adjustments for easy and intuitive tightening and loosening. The aluminum discs offer optimum grip and unprecedented durability, as well as high resistance to impact, abrasion and dust. Zonal tightening allows independent management of tension (top and bottom of the foot) and favors a tailor-made fit over the miles.
