The shoe cover worn by Israel Premier Tech and Arkéa B&B Hôtels pro riders to optimize aerodynamics on time trials and flat stages
At the highest level of cycling, the aim is to ride at top speed while conserving the most energy. It's to meet the demands of our pro riders that we've designed this new aerodynamic, robust and ventilated overshoe cover.
To achieve this, we've used 3 technical materials , whose best properties we've exploited.
Optimized aerodynamics
On the front part of the overshoe, the area most exposed to the wind, the material is smooth. The result is less resistance to aerodynamic drag (air glides over the surface). To confirm the added value of this fabric, we carried out tests in the Silverstone wind tunnel with Israel Premier Tech riders . The two seams on the sides help to channel the airflow, minimizing turbulence.
Maximum protection
The part of the shoe at the front of the foot (the most exposed) is made of a highly resistant fabric. This provides excellent protection against debris on the road and greater durability. This fabric is also waterproof . It protects the most sensitive parts of the foot from moisture and cold, which avoids impacting your performance level.
Flexibility and ventilation
During a time trial or high-intensity race, the foot needs to move flexibly. That's why the material present at the rear (from heel to top of ankle) is particularly light and stretchy to encourage a fluid pedal stroke. The fabric also features a very airy squared profile. This has the effect of increasing the evacuation of excess heat generated during intense efforts.
